GREAT BRITAIN:Knight Bachelor insignia in original 'ROYAL MINT' red boxed case with date letter 'p' as awarded in 1971 to Australian SL "Lance" Townsend for services to Obstetrics & Gynaecology; also a few coins and 10/- Coombs/Wilson banknote, fine condition. [Sir Lance Townsend served in the Royal Navy in WWII rising to the rank of Surgeon-Commander. He was Professor of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Melbourne's Royal Women's Hospital as well as Dean of the University of Melbourne Faculty of Medicine]
