Attractively written-up collection from De La Rue issues to 1912 with an array of shades & perfs (many of which are much scarcer than catalogue values would suggest), 'POSTAGE' Overprints on 5/- apparently postally used & 10/- mint (SG 241b) & used x5 (two on parcel pieces), Centennial to 5/- mint & used x3 and 20/- x4 (one on piece), Charity pair mint, later to 2/6d mint x2 & used x3, 'OS' Overprints to 5/- in Red & 20/- both CTO & 20/- 'SPECIMEN', Postage Dues set used/CTO, etc, generally very fine.

1850-51 Sydney Views ONE PENNY: Plate I (No Clouds) on Bluish Paper 1d pale red SG 5 horizontal pair, margins close to large, small concealed fault at the top between the units, on small piece, fine & very fine strikes of BN '48' of Tarcutta, Cat £950+. 1850-51 Sydney Views Plate III 2d ultramarine SG 29 vertical pair - an entire column !! - with enormous sheet margins at top & base, the other margins are good to large with the outer framelines complete except at right, ironed-out crease across the lower unit, bars cancels of Sydney, Cat £450++. 1856-63 'REGISTERED' (6d) Wmk '6' Perf 13 rose-red & blue with Double Impression of 'NEW SOUTH WALES' & 'REGISTERED', a bit aged, very lightly cancelled. Unlisted by Gibbons but was formerly included as SG 127, then inexplicably removed. RPSofV Certificate (2018). [This stamp was offered in our auction of 1.9.2018 as being unused: it sold for $2300. As a used stamp, it is vastly superior to the Carrington (Mark Dankin) example - tonespots & 'cleaned' - that sold in 2012 for $632]
1860-72 Perf Diadems Perf 12 1d orange-red SG 131, 2d Plate I pale blue & dull blue SG 133 & 138, 3d blue-green SG 140, 5d dull green SG 141 (large-part o.g.) & 6d violet SG 148, some characteristic irregular perfs, unused, Cat £3000. A very scarce group.

1871-1902 Wmk '36' 8d yellow Perf 13 with the Watermark Sideways SG 218a, trimmed perfs at base well clear of the design, Sydney duplex cancel, unpriced by Gibbons. This is a very rare stamp of which only one other example - also used - is recorded.
