1934 Victoria CentenaryPerf 10½ 1/- black block of 30 (3x10) from the left of the sheet with margins on three sides, variable centring, some perf separation, unmounted, Cat $3000+. Multiples of this size are rarely see. Ex "Pollie's Hoard": see Lots 191 to 204.
1934 Hermes No Watermark1/6d claret ACSC #161 upper-right corner block of 8 (2x4), exceptional centring, a couple of minor gum bends, unmounted, Cat $1000+. Multiples of this size are scarce. Ex "Pollie's Hoard".
1938-49 Definitives Perf 15x14 4d Koala block of 4 with weak Offset ACSC #198c, unmounted, Cat $300+ (mounted).

1942-50 Definitives1d brown-purple block of 30 (3x10) from the left of the sheet with two additional strikes of the comb perforator in the left-hand margin resulting in the 10 units at left all with Double Perforations on Three Sides ACSC #225b and the lower 3 units additionally with perforations into the design (unlisted in ACSC), a couple of minor tonespots, unmounted, Cat $2250++. A recent discovery.
1948-56 Arms10/- purple & £2 green Authority Imprint blocks of 4, central Melbourne cds cancels, Cat $1100+ for mint but much scarcer used.

ESSAYS:Original artwork by Donald Cameron for QEII definitive issues including Queen's head in ink & china white (166x121mm) dated "DJC '54" and autographed similar to 1957 7½d violet (die engraved by him in late 1954), another in ink & china white (166x74mm) autographed and endorsed "sublimation" similar to 1959 3d green, also pen & ink drawing (210x126mm) of child for 1957 Christmas issue, plus some matching stamps, FDCs and Christmas cards signed by him.

ESSAYS:photographic reductions of essays by Donald Cameron of unadopted designs including for 1960 NT Exploration, 1962 Christmas, 1963 Cable (4 different very similar to issued stamp but inscribed 'COMPAC' with 5d denomination) and 1964 Airmail Anniversary pair, then five designs for an unadopted 2d stamp featuring Australian Rules Football, Bottle Tree, Aborigine, Industry or Coral Pool Fish (with and without denomination) mounted on pages autographed by him, also pen & ink drawing (129x193mm) of 4d Polar Bear "stamp", etc, plus page of eight 1981 APEX 22c un-adopted designs, fine condition. ESSAYS:c.1946 2½d original artwork in ink and wash with white gouache & titled in lower margin showing State Emblems surrounded by Aboriginal motifs - the South Australian emblem was later changed to a magpie - on art board (205x257mm), a couple of tonespots & small tears in the margins. Attractive. [Apparently submitted for the 1946 Commonwealth Stamp Design Competition]
ESSAYS:1964 QEII Proposed Coil Issue Perf 14¾xImperf 5d brown & deep blue photogravure essay ACSC #398E(1)A, horizontal crease, officially defaced with magenta die. Rare unissued essay & an important item for the collector of QEII issues, or of coil stamps. [The ACSC states that only one undefaced example has been recorded in private hands: Cat $10,000. It is noted that it is Perf 14¼xImperf but that may be an error. The Australia Post Archives contains a range of examples with various defacements that may have been related to cancellation experiments]
