1932 (Mar 18) airmail cover to Switzerland with attractive tri-colour franking of 3d Air Mail, 3d Harbour Bridge, 6d Kingsford Smith tied by 'PORT WAKEFIELD' cds, small tear at top, flap faults. [2d letter rate, 3d Australian internal airmail, 6d Karachi to London airmail plus 1d late fee]. No Reserve.
1933 WA Railways OHMS airmail cover to Port Hedland with extraordinary franking of 3d Air Type A perf 'OS' L-strip of 3 - a single is catalogued at $400 on cover - and 6d Air overprinted 'OS' pair all tied by Perth cds, the adhesives are particularly well centred, a minor tear at lower-right barely detracts. A rare and desirable cover. [The vendor paid $750 at our auction of 9/3/2002].
1934 (Sep 27) registered to England "per RMS Majola" with Perf 11½ Victoria Centenary 1/- & KGV 2d tied by 'REGISTERED/SYDNEY' cds. [The rate was 3d Australian internal airmail, 2d Perth to Karachi surface rate, 6d Karachi to London airmail plus 3d registration]
1936 & 1940 Hotel Kosciusko covers with different illustrations at upper left, 2d Cable or KGVI 3d blue Die II tied by untidy strikes of the 31mm 'MT KOSCIUSKO/N.S.W.' cds, each with a small tear. (Qty 2)
1937 cover with NSW Sesqui 3d & 9d tied by light 'TREESVILLE/WA' cds (much better b/s) to 'PALGARUP MILL' but returned.
1937 (Dec 15) commercial airmail with attractive multiple franking of 6d Large Kooka pair, NSW Anniversary 3d pair & 2d, KGV 5d & 1½d pairs and 4d all tied by multiple 'LATE FEE/MELBOURNE' cds paying double-rate plus 1d Late Fee, minor blemishes.
1937-44 "By air in United States only" group including 1937 (Oct 15) with Kingsford Smith 6d & KGV 4d with 'LATE FEE/SYDNEY' cds (late usage - service was suspended in 1937 until recommencing in 1942); also 1943 at 9½d rate including ½d war tax, 1944 & 1945 at 9d rate, some blemishes. (Qty 4)
1938 (June) apparently commercial airmail cover to New York endorsed "Air Mail via London" at 1/7d rate + 1d late fee.
1938 (Feb 24) registered cover to South Africa with NSW Anniversary 9d block of 6, 3d pair & 2d and Koala 4d pair all tied by REGISTERED/ADELAIDE S.A.' cds, tear at top affecting 2d. Spectacular.
