1901-05 British New Guinea Watermark Vertical Thin Paper 4d black & sepia SG 13b, unmounted, Cat £300 (mounted). [Tim Rybak's marginal unmounted example sold for $483]
1901-05 British New Guinea 6d black & myrtle-green SG 14a marginal example from the top of the sheet, unmounted, Cat £950 (mounted). [Almost certainly from the same sheet as Tim Rybak's unmounted upper-left corner block of 4 that sold for $8912]

1907 Small 'Papua' Overprints Watermark Horizontal Thick Paper ½d black & yellow-green SG 34 marginal block of 6 (2x3) from the left of the sheet, the third unit with 'd' for 'p' & Reinforcing Pinhole thru Rosette, the fourth unit with Dropped 'pua', well centred, the lower block of 4 are unmounted. Rare: unpriced by Gibbons. BPA Certificate (1987). [There was no example of this stamp in Tim Rybak's or Peter Troy's collections. Peter Gold's mounted single - creased - sold for $588 at our auction of 5/12/2003]
1907 Small 'Papua' Overprints 2½d black & bright ulramarine SG 35, unmounted. Rare: unpriced by Gibbons. BPA Certificate (1987). [There was no example of this stamp in Peter Gold's, Tim Rybak's or Peter Troy's collections] ** Withdrawn: it is Thin Paper. Also, there is no certificate with this lot. We apologise for the error **

1939 (Sep 22) apparently commercial cover to United States with Pictorials ½d 1d 1½d & 6d plus Possession 2d, typed endorsement "Via Airmail to Sydney/via Steamer to USA" in red, early usage of red/white 'OPENED BY CENSOR' label (Lee #C5) folded-over at left, typed "Morgan Reynolds/Port Moresby" on the flap. [Morgan Reynolds was the photographer with the Fairchild Aerial Survey of Papua: the cover is to the FAS in Los Angeles]
