1863 (Aug 15) cover from England to "The Chief Justice of/Queensland" endorsed "Via Marseilles" with very fine 9d bistre SG 86 (with wing-margin; Cat £1200 on cover) tied by 'MAIDENHEAD - 492' duplex, superb 'INSUFFY STAMPED/VIA MARSEILLES' h/s at L/L, London transit & Brisbane arrival b/s of OC15/1863. [Queensland's first Chief Justice was James Cockle, appointed 21.2.1863]
1864 (Aug 24) GB cover endorsed "Via Marseilles" with Small Uncoloured Corner Letters 4d vermilion & 1/- green pairs tied by superb BN '706' of 'SHIPSTON-ON-STOUR' (very fine b/s), Brisbane transit of OC18/1864 & Ipswich arrival b/s, docketed at U/L "Arrived by Madras at Sydney 16.10.64...", minor defects hardly detract from the stunning appearance.

1867 (Sep 7) front from NSW to Ipswich with Diadems 6d & 'REGISTERED' (6d) tied by heavy cancels, light but clear oval 'REGISTERED/SYDNEY NSW' d/s in red & very fine strike of the similar oval 'REGISTERED/SP9/1867/BRISBANE' d/s (no code).
1875 (Mar 8) cover from California with US 3c green x2 (small faults) & 10c Jefferson tied by geometric cork cancels & 'San FRANCISCO/PAID' cds in red at L/L, to Rockhampton endorsed "per City of/Melbourne/Ship" with arrival b/s of AP9/75, redirected to "Lily vail/via/gainsford" with very fine 'LILLY VALE' arrival b/s (spelling error; rated RRRRR - ERD), minor blemishes.
1876 (Sep 28) cover from Ireland with very fine GB 8d orange tied by largely superb 'DUBLIN - 186' duplex, to "Woodlands PO Cambooya/Darling Downs/...", 'BRISBANE' transit b/s of NO16/76 & poor Cambooya arrival b/s, minor blemishes.
1883 (May 31) use of Argentinian 6c Postal Card to "Charters Towers/.../via Townsville" with boxed 'BUENOS AIRES/CENTRO NORTE' cancel & small British-pattern cds, superb 'SOUTHAMPTON/JY1/83/SHIP-LETTER' & 'POST CARDS TO THIS ADDRESS/CANNOT BE FORWARDED' h/s of London in red, boxed 'BUENOS AIRES/ 1AGOS83/OFA DE LISTAS' DLO d/s. [The only such item we have seen addressed to Queensland]
1905 (c.) Bali PPC with Netherlands Indies 2½c & 5c tied in transit by very fine 'TOWNSVILLE - QL' duplex (no year slug) with largely very fine 'LOOSE/SHIP/LETTER' h/s alongside, to "Mount Zeehan/Tasmania" where redirected to "Empire Hotel/Hobart", minor blemishes.
