ZIG-ZAG ROULETTE - INWARDS (REPLY) PORTION ACSC #LC30: 'VIADUCT/NEAR ADELAIDE SA' in brown-lake - a most unusual colour for this issue - with Double Overprint of the Obliterating Bars, faint bend at U/R doesn't detract from the very fine appearance, unused, Cat $1000. [This & the three examples illustrated in the ACSC all show different variants of the error. This suggests that they may have been overprinting trials]

PERFORATION TRIAL: 'TOWN HALL SYDNEY' in dull grey-green on imperforate remainder stock for the outwards (message) portion only subsequently Perf 10 ACSC #LC31P(1), unused, Cat $4000. The ACSC states that two examples were prepared: one of them is in the Australia Post Archives. They are the only only Perf 10 Reply Cards. [NB: 'REPLY' was not barred-out because this was merely a perforation trial for internal assessment only. It was decided that the Perf 10 pins were too worn & that the Perf 12 machine would need to be used. Illustrated in the ACSC]
