1855 London Printings 1d dark green SG 1, almost three margins & a little cut-into at right, a bit aged; 2d rose-carmine SG 2, margins close to good; and 6d deep blue SG 3, margins just clear to huge, just touching at right & at lower-left; all apparently unused, Cat £15,300.

1855 London Printings 1d dark green SG 1 (3½ margins) plus Adelaide Printings 2d orange-red SG 7 (cut-into at L/L but with a chunk of the adjoining unit below) & 1/- orange pair a rare multiple (margins just shaved - at left where overlapped by the 2d - to good) all tied by void cancels of Adelaide, on 1858 piece with part-GPO cds, Cat £1500+. This would have been a magnificent cover.

1860-69 Second Roulettes 'TEN PENCE' in Black on 9d yellow Surcharge Inverted (at Top) SG 37a, rouletting on all sides, fine GPO cds of OC13/69 clear of the surcharge, Cat £7000. Ex Henry Frenkle. One of the finest & most attractive examples of this famous error of which Shilling Violet No 16 (Sep 1989) noted the existence of a mere 15 examples (not including Peter Jaffé's unique pair), which puts it in the same class as Western Australia's 4d with the Frame Inverted. [Harry Lower's example with small thin & professionally repaired sold at the Prestige auction of 12.5.2007 for $5750. Michael Blake's very fine but poorly centred example sold at the Prestige auction of 7.2.2014 for $10,350]

1886-96 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' Perf 10 2/6d & 10/- x2 all with fake cancels, Perf 11½-12½ 5/- & £1 postally used, 2/6d x2, 5/- x2, 10/-, 15/- x3 & £1 x2 all CTO (some with large-part o.g.), and official reprints seven values to 50/- with 'SPECIMEN' overprint, generally fine to very fine, Cat £1380 plus the 'SPECIMEN' group & the 'duds'.
1886-96 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' Perf 10 £1 and Perf 11½-12½ 5/- 10/- 15/- (CTO) £1 & £2, various postal cancellations, Cat £1190.
1886-96 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' Perf 10 2/6d to £20 SG 195-208 all with 12½mm 'SPECIMEN' overprint, strong colours, a few characteristic minor gum-bends, large-part o.g., Cat £1300. Very scarce: these are the original issue - excluding the £5 brown not issued in Perf 10 - not the 1891 reprints that were specially printed for distribution to UPU members.
1886-96 'POSTAGE & REVENUE' Perf 11½-12½ 5/- plate proof in carmine on ungummed unwatermarked laid pink paper with the Value Printed Three Times and additionally with the Value Printed Twice at the Top (Inverted), imperforate at the sides. A striking proof. [NB: 'FIVE/SHILLINGS' is printed five times!, three times in the value tablet and twice (inverted) - not once as stated by Williams - at the top of the stamp. Williams at page 8 states: "About ten copies are known to the writer, including one pair and a strip of three". The strip sold at the Prestige auction of 10.4.2010 for $2875. A single sold at the Prestige auction of 23.9.2011 for $862]

[No postally used examples of this stamp are recorded. However, we can see no evidence of this stamp having had a cancellation or 'SPECIMEN' Overprint removed]
