Stockbook pages with Sidefaces 'SPECIMEN' Overprint x21 on various issues & denominations to 10d x3, Tablets 'SPECIMEN' to 10/- plus Crown/A 1/-, London Pictorials mint 5d & 6d, Typo 1d 'SPECIMEN', used Pictorials including an apparently Imperf 2d & 'T' punctures to 6d, Postal Fiscals 10/- plate proof in black & several with dubious "postal" cancels, array of Reprints including unoverprinted Chalon blocks of 4 to 1/-, Sideface 4d blue block of 4 and Postal Fiscals to 10/- x3, some Revenues, 'CONSUMPTIVE'S/SANATORIUM/1d' label, etc, condition variable.

'List of Postage Stamps/Available for Sale.../at/GPO Hobart...' dated "10.1.02" showing that by this date the £1 had been withdrawn, minor blemishes. Scarce contemporary document.
Forgeries selection with Courier 4d x15, Chalons 2d x8, 4d & 1/- x15 plus a few genuine stamps with pen cancels removed, 1d Pictorial with typed ! 'SHIP LETTER' & St George 2/6d with 'REVENUE' Overprint & fake BN '316', some duplication & condition variable.
Tragic selection of classic stamps with faked perfs/roulettes or cleaned, and a large piece & cover with stamps that don't or may not belong, the first of these with a presentable pair of the 1d Courier SG 4 (Cat £2600) & the other with a fine full-margin pair of 4d Couriers. All Ex "Lionheart" (Michael Blake). Various 'bad' certificates from the RPSofL x4, Chris Ceremuga x4 & David Brandon. [How about using these to prepare a one frame display for your local club about some of the things naughty people have done?]

1853 Couriers One Penny group identified as SG 1 x2, SG 2 x2 and SG 3 x3, condition variable but two with unqualified certificates, various BN cancels including '48' '49' & bold '56' (the stamp badly defective), Cat £9900.
1853 Couriers One Penny Lines Clear & Distinct SG 1 & SG 2, and Lines Blurred & Worn SG 3 with large-part 'Printed by H & C B[est]' Imprint (shallow thin), and SG 4 with partial 'Engraved by CW Coard' Imprint ' (closed tear at left; very lightly cancelled), all with full margins with the outer framelines largely complete, Cat £5600+.
1853 Couriers Thin Hard White Paper 1d pale blue SG 3, margins good to very large, First Allocation BN '26' of Evandale, small 'M GLAVEZ/MADRID' guarantee h/s, Cat £1300. Superb! RPSofL Certificate (1991).

1853 Couriers Four Pence group identified as Plate I SG 6 x2, SG 7, SG 8 single & very fine strip of 3 & SG 9 and Plate II SG 10 11 & 12 x3, plus nine others cut-to-shape including a pair, condition variable, various BN cancels including '13', '18', '47' & '56', Cat £7000+ not including those cut-to-shape. Four certificates including for the strip of 3.
1853 Couriers 4d red-orange Plate II on ungummed Laid Paper, excellent colour & unusually with good even margins, Cat £11,000. Superb! Ex Michael Blake. RPSofL Certificate (2005) states "...is of proof status": see Gibbons' footnote below SG 12. [This is a rare proof of which most examples have had the corners clipped; ie cut-to-shape. This oustanding example is possibly the finest recorded. There was no example in Koichi Sato's Grand Prix exhibit]
1853 Couriers Plate II (Coarse Engraving) 4d dull orange SG 11, large even margins, light BN '63' (?) cancel, Cat £375. Superb!
