REGISTRATION ENVELOPES: Annotated collection of mostly McCorquodale issues with shades, papers & knives noted & some duplication, 14 of them are used & one has an unusual 'SPECIMEN' Handstamp, also Melbourne Printings 100x64mm (Australia's smallest Registration Envelope) unused, 130x78mm unused & very late but apparently commercial usage in 1927, 127x78mm unused x2 & superb used x2 and 230x110mm unused (spotty), condition variable but generally fine to very fine with only a few of the earlier issues affected by the characteristic shrinkage. A very good lot. Ex Neil Russell. (Qty 53)

WRAPPERS - STAMPED TO ORDER: 1891 (Jan 19) usage of 1d red for the Federal Australian Philatelist to France with printed 'BOOK POST' but with 'Deficient Postage ("1")/Fine ("1") - 9"2d to pay")' h/s applied, minor opening fault at U/L & vertical fold at left. Ex Prof Owen Ingles. [The Book Post rate was 1d per 2oz. It's odd that this should have been preferred, because the Newspaper rate was 1d for the first 4oz, which probably would have avoided the fine]
