Large accumulation from Colonial issues up to Decimals with plenty on piece and a few covers plus some unsorted in bags, noted four-volume A-Y collection with many unframed cds, separate albums of Melbourne, Western District, Barred Numerals including nice '1' on QOT 2d pair, group of registered covers including 1930 KGV 'TWO PENCE' overprint Envelope with 'MURROON' cds and red provisional label, etc. Huge quantity with plenty of potential.
1970s-2000s datestamps on covers mostly airmail to overseas destinations with many single frankings, the occassional registered item, some postal stationery, advertising, taxed mail & postcards, selected for clarity of strikes which are generally well above average including modern rubber types often on International Post issues. Good variety with minimal duplication.

BARRED NUMERALS: Collection with many complete duplex cancels & numeral/cds "ties", rated up to RR only but quality of strikes generally well above average and much postal history interest including registered & taxed items, 1861 with '187' and fine oval 'LONG GULLY/JL*24/61/VICTORIA' b/s (ERD), 1887 from Springhurst with '706' and octagonal 'DOWN TRAIN/MG6' d/s, 1895 "Beer n Baccy" card with Crown Reef Gold Mine notice and Castlemaine duplex, etc; also album of stamps from imperfs with postmark interest; and literature including Purves & Freeman books, Post Office photos & ephemera, condition variable.
BARRED NUMERALS: manuscript "112" of Dunkeld on Bell 2d mauve. Unrecorded by Freeman & White. [The original type 1A numeral - rated RRR - was recut in 1887 to remove the inner side bars and presumably this marking was used during it being out of service]
BARRED NUMERALS: '371' light but discernible strike on 1876 cover to Melbourne with QV 2d Bell (rounded corner) & largely fine 'CHINAMAN'S FLAT/FE22/76/VICTORIA' cds (LRD; only third recorded strike) alongside, Maryborough & Melbourne b/s. Rated RR. [Goldmining. 6kms NNW of Maryborough; PO opened 20.11.1861; closed 8.11.1895]
BARRED OVALS: '10' of Kilmore light but obvious strike tying Half-Length 2d SG 17d (Cat £190) to small piece.
