Useful group including 1864 1d plate proof in bistre (with RPSofL Certificate!), Wmk CC Perf 12½ 4d & 1/-, Wmk CA Perf 14 1d (3) & 6d (2), '½' on 1d block of 8, '1d.' on 3d pairs (2,shades), 1885-93 New Designs ½d block of 20 with Plate Number '1' twice, 2d Plate '2' block of 6, 2½d block of 4 & 1/-, 'Half-penny' on 3d block of 9 plus gutter blocks of 6 & 10 etc, generally fine. 1854 Penny Black selection with Imperf singles (4, two with striking red cancellations, horizontal pair & vertical pair (the upper unit very fine), margins at places; Rouletted horizontal pair & an apparently Pin Perf single. (11)

1854-55 Lithographs Imperf 4d shades, one being Position  Dash after 'E' of 'POSTAGE', one with small stain & another with scissor-cut at base otherwise fine with full margins, Cat £1925+. (7)

1857-59 Hillman Lithographs Imperf 2d (3, shades, one with a Pre-Printing Paper Fold) plus three Printed both Sides (one with the impression on the reverse inverted) one of which is in the scarce grey-black/pale pink shades, good to very fine, Cat £4300+. (6)
1857-59 Hillman Lithographs Imperf 2d brown-black/Indian red SG 16, margins just touching (at top) to good, a couple of tiny faults, fine void-grid cancel, Cat £800.
1857-59 Hillman Lithographs Imperf 6d black-bronze SG 18, margins just touching (at top) to good, light void-grid cancel, Cat £650. RPSofL Certificate (1972) states "6d golden-bronze is genuine but a dull example of this printing" which strikes us as an oxy-moron. Without the distinctive golden lustre it just isn't a golden-bronze. It is a very fine "black-bronze"]
1857-59 Hillman Lithographs Imperf 6d grey-black SG 19 x3, one a very attractive early impression but with a small scissor-cut at lower-left, also a rouletted example, small faults, Cat £2600. (4)
