1854-55 Lithographs Imperf 4d slate-blue SG 3c, a lovely deep shade, margins good to large, Cat £4000. Superb! BPA Certificate (1995).
1854-55 Lithographs Imperf 1/- salmon SG 4, margins close to good, neat void-grid cancel in black, Cat £4750. A very fine & attractive example. [Although this is a very distinctive shade, it is not a true 'salmon'. Cecil Walkley had a similar stamp - just shaved on two sides - that he had acquired as a 'salmon' but which he considered was a red-brown shade. It sold for $1322. This example is of significantly superior quality] In our opinion, Gibbons need to list both this shade and the deep chocolate ('Tomasini' brown) shade.
